Ingredients:
-Bread (preferably baguette or rustic bread)
–Pumpkin and white truffle sauce by Bernardini Tartufi
-Cream cheese (like spreadable cheese or robiola)
-Black olives (optional, for garnish)
-Extra virgin olive oil
-Salt and pepper to taste
-Freshly chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cut the bread into slices about 1 cm thick.
- Place the bread slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
- Bake the bread slices for about 5-7 minutes or until lightly golden and crispy.
- Once baked, s spread Bernardini Tartufi’s pumpkin and white truffle sauce generouslyon each slice of bread.
- Add a thin layer of cream cheese on each slice, seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.
- If desired,add a few slices of black olives on each crouton for an extra touch of flavour.
- Bake the croutons for another 2-3 minutes,, or until the cheese starts to melt slightly.
- Once ready, remove the croutons from the oven and garnish with some freshly chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve the croutons hot and enjoy this delicious and simple delicacy!
